PLANT YOUR TREE AND MAKE MIAMI
NICE!
This September 11th
help us restore a vital piece of
coastal hardwood hammock on
Virginia Key by planting trees
with Excel Sports and
Treemendous Miami.
Our efforts to
re-establish a tropical maritime
forest at the Virginia Key Beach
Park, by planting native trees
and shrubs in an area that was
once dominated by Australian
pines, will help improve the
Biscayne Bay environment for
both human and wildlife. Because
of continuous heavy coastal
development, the dune and forest
habitats that once supported
wildlife and maintained water
quality in the bay have been
severely diminished, and
Virginia Key is the largest most
important area that we have
where we can make a positive
change. Excel Productions has
generously donated the funds to
conduct this planting to help
bring about that positive
change, so please join with us
Saturday, September 11th
2010 at Virginia Key Beach Park
from 8:00 until 12:00.
